Changing lives through giving

Our Purpose

The AVRC Endowment provides an avenue unto which local and international philanthropy can be encouraged and channeled. It is a separate entity from both the Rotary Club of Almaden Valley-Willow Glen and Rotary International. Its 501(C)(3) status affords individuals, families, trusts, foundations and corporations the ability to contribute to charitable causes and realize tax benefits from such contributions.

How Funds Are Managed

100% of funds donated to the AVRC Endowment are put to work!

Funds for the endowment are generated through the generosity of the members of the Rotary Club of Almaden valley as well as individual contributions from private sources.

The corpus of the endowment is professionally invested and the investment proceeds along with a percentage of new contributions are averaged over multiple years, thi average is then invested back into projects through grants. This allows the corpus to grow while maintaining grant request goals.

Areas Of Focus

Community Projects

From Boy Scout projects to neighborhood gardens, through grant requests we aim to enrich the lives of others.

Global Projects

By combining resources with other local Rotary Clubs, the AVRC Endowment is able to participate in larger projects throughout the world.

Working Together

Knowing that there is strength in numbers, the AVRC Endowment is always open to work with other local service resources in order to have a stronger impact on our community.

Scholarship Opportunities

Through Rotary International as well as working directly with local programs, the AVRC Endowment has the privilege of funding multiple scholarships each year.

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” ― Maya Angelou

Major Supported Recipients

All Inclusive Play Garden at Almaden Lake Park

We now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to expand the playground beyond grant funding constraints and invest in a Playgarden & Nature Area – creating a space where children and adults of all abilities can gather locally. The AVRC Endowment is not only proud to support this project but to also provide the non profit conduit for donated funds.

New Almaden Ting

On the spacious landscaped ground of the "Casa Grande" Hacienda at New Almaden stood an authentic unique Chinese Ting (Pagoda) which was used as a Tea House for many years. Learn the history of the Ting and help us become caretakers of the Ting (Pagoda) to teach our children how ordinary people today from both sides of the Pacific Ocean proudly respect peace through our world's artistic treasures.
