Through a partnership with Rotary clubs within Area 6 or Rotary District 5170, the AVRC Endowment was able to participate in a large Global Grant to provide much needed X-ray equipment to a small regional rural hospital in Bolivia.
Nigeria School Sinks toilets

Toilets and hand washing sinks nigeria

Through a partnership with Rotary District 5170 Area 6 Clubs, the Endowment helped fund the building of a toilet building with hand washing stations at a school in Nigeria. This project also included provisions to train the students in proper hygiene and hand washing.

Fresh Water – Lagos Nigeria

Through partnership with District 5170 Area 6 Rotary Clubs the Endowment has helped fund fresh water wells in Lagos Nigeria.
Blankets

Hugs & Kisses Blanket Project

Each year the AVRC Endowment funds the volunteer efforts that take fabric and turns it into beautiful and warm blankets for newborns at Valley Medical Center. This year the project will purchase hundreds of yards of fabric to make 700 blankets.

Senior Citizen Christmas Lunches

Books Aloud is a non-profit organization which has been in existence for over 30 years. We record books onto audio format for those unable to read by conventional means.

At least four Scholarships to RYLA are funded each year. RYLA aims to: Demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth; Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders; Encourage leadership of youth by youth; and Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities. — ryla5170.org

Rotary Foundation

Funds from the AVRC Endowment are often matched in programs from Rotary International allowing 2 to 3 times return on investment.  On of the biggest examples is the drive to End Polio. — rotary.org
ambulance

Ambulance and Computers in Ameca Mexico

Through a joint project with area 6 Rotary clubs we have built an on going relationship with The Rotary Club of Ameca Mexico.  Projects have included a new Ambulance as well as computers for the local school.
